WOODLAND COTTAGE
In a classic neighborhood, this young family wanted a landscape that could entertain friends while giving their children room to play. The design blends timeless cottage charm with modern function—layered plantings and flowering trees in the front, a welcoming stone terrace for gatherings, and a generous lawn framed by evergreens in the back. The result is a garden that feels rooted and graceful, yet full of life and possibility.

OUR APPROACH
-
Outdoor Entertaining: A stone terrace with casual seating, string lighting, and easy kitchen access sets the stage for family gatherings and evenings with friends.
-
Play-Friendly Space: The backyard lawn offers room for soccer, tag, and swings, framed by soft plantings that keep the yard enclosed yet airy.
-
Woodland Charm: Flowering understory trees, hydrangeas, and seasonal color bring the cottage feel, while evergreens ensure privacy year-round.
-
Neighborhood Harmony: The design feels timeless, fitting naturally into the established surroundings while still reflecting the family’s fresh, youthful energy.
We looked to the woodland cottage style for inspiration—layered plantings, flowering trees, and the kind of garden that feels like it’s been there for generations. In the front, classic curb appeal takes shape with soft sweeps of hydrangeas, cheerful perennials, and a flowering understory tree that greets visitors with seasonal charm.
